Privacy policy
Last updated: 26 October 2026
This policy explains how we collect and use personal information through energysavingplan.com, and the rights you have over it under data protection law.
1. Who we are
Energy Saving Plan, Manchester, United Kingdom. We decide how the information described here is used, which makes us its controller. For anything about this policy or your information, email [email protected].
2. What we collect, why, and our lawful basis
- The early-access form: your name, email and, if you give them, your company and role. We use them only to contact you about Energy Saving Plan's early access and trials, starting with an email confirming that you have joined the waitlist. Our lawful basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time by emailing us; this does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.
- Where you came from when you join: the campaign details in the link you followed (such as which post it was in) and the website that referred you, kept with your sign-up. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in knowing which posts and sites bring people to the waitlist.
- The form's security check: when you start filling in the early-access form, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that you are a person and not a bot. It uses technical details of your browser and connection, such as your IP address and browser type, not what you type into the form. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the waitlist free of spam and abuse.
- Emails you send us: whatever you include, so that we can reply. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
- Visitor statistics: pages viewed, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, and your country, counted in total, without cookies and without identifying you. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used, so that we can improve it.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Do you have to give us your details?
No. You only give them if you want to join the waitlist. We need your name and email to add you to it; your company and role are optional.
4. Who processes it for us
These providers process information only on our instructions: Cloudflare hosts this website, runs the form's security check, receives the early-access form, stores the early-access list and counts the visitor statistics; Resend sends the email confirming that you have joined, and emails each early-access request to our support inbox so that we can reply; Microsoft (Microsoft 365) handles our email. Cloudflare also uses the security check's technical details, as a controller, to improve how it detects bots, as its Turnstile privacy addendum explains. This website serves its own fonts, so no font provider receives your details. We do not share your information with anyone else unless the law requires it.
5. Transfers outside the UK
Some of these providers may process information outside the UK, for example in the US. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as an adequacy decision ("data bridge") or the ICO's approved data transfer agreement or addendum.
6. How long we keep it
Early-access details: until early access opens and for 12 months after our last contact with you, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. Emails: up to 2 years. Visitor statistics are kept only as totals.
7. How we protect it
The website and the form use encrypted connections (HTTPS). Access to the early-access list is limited to us, and our accounts with the providers above are protected.
8. Automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you by automated means, including profiling.
9. Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own, and its visitor statistics use none. Our host, Cloudflare, may set a strictly necessary security cookie if it needs to check that a visitor is not a bot; the form's security check sets no cookie on this site. Our cookies page lists them. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies; if we ever do, we will ask for your consent first.
10. Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it is wrong, or deleted;
- restrict how we use it, or object to our using it;
- receive it in a portable form; and
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. It is free, and we will reply within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, please tell us first so that we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk, 0303 123 1113.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here and update the date above.
